Law Offices of Michael D. Raysor
Michael D. Raysor was born and raised in rural Shasta County, California. He is the son of a forester and a horticulturalist. He maintains a large vegetable garden, a small orchard, and often provides clients with farm fresh eggs following their appointments. He meets with clients at his home-based office in Cottonwood, and his Redding office, steps away from from the courthouse.
Mr. Raysor is a graduate of West Valley High School and Shasta College. He moved to the Bay Area to attend U.C. Berkeley in 2000, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Economics and History. In 2008, Mr. Raysor graduated from Golden Gate School of Law in San Francisco, where he earned a joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration (J.D./M.B.A) degree, with highest honors in the M.B.A. program. Mr. Raysor passed the California Bar Examination on the first attempt, and has been an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California since December 5, 2008. In the Spring of 2009, Mr. Raysor opened a law practice in the Financial District of San Francisco, and has been solo practitioner ever since. In 2010, he opened a second office in Oakland. He closed these offices last year, and moved home.
Mr. Raysor now practices exclusively in the North State. He has offices in Redding, California and Cottonwood, California. In 2015, he hired his sister, Laura A. Raysor, to work with him as a paralegal. He primarily represent clients in divorce, child custody, and family law cases. He also helps clients in personal injury cases, Chapter 7 bankruptcies, and basic estate planning.
